Taoyuan, Taiwan (R.O.C) April 24, 2012 – Chroma Ate Inc. (TAIEX: 2360) today announced the results for first quarter in the fiscal year 2012, which ended March 31st, 2012. In the first quarter, consolidated sales revenue was NTD 2,866 million. The parent only sales revenue was NTD 875 million, a decrease of 2% QoQ and 40% YoY. Net profit was NTD 164 million, a decline of 5% QoQ and 59% YoY, with basic earnings per share of NTD 0.438. EPS is based on weighted average outstanding shares of 375 million.

Although the first quarter sales revenues were flat compared to last quarter due to normal seasonality low, the gross margin has improved to 55% and operating profit increased by 24%. Moving into peak season of second quarter, the Company expected the sales revenues will start to pickup, mainly contributed from Power, Semiconductors and LED business sectors.

The dividend payout of $2.5 (62% of EPS) in cash and no stock will be allotted in mid-year after the Annual General Shareholder Meeting, scheduled on 6th of June 2012.
