To fulfill the testing demands of the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) industry, the Tianjin Automotive Test Center (TATC) has created a new energy testing laboratory for testing EV core components (battery, motor, electric control, charging and more.) In order to test the on-board chargers and DC/DC converters accurately and quickly, the center uses Chroma 8000 ATS systems to perform tests on products in order to comply with QC/T895-2011 and GB/T24347-2009 standards. These systems not only meet the required test accuracy, they improve efficiency through multiple tests running in sequence at a single station and generating test reports automatically. In addition, both parties are working together to solve testing issues like EV charger and charging station compatibility by exchanging test methods and technical solutions.
TATC is an organization invested and established by China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC). It is a separate legal entity authorized by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) as a National Passenger Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center to examine automotive products in China. The center is an independent third-party testing laboratory accredited by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) committees. The accreditations acquired from the government include National Passenger Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, State-level Auto New Product Type Approval Inspection Body, China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Testing Body, special product without approval test institute, State Scientific Achievement Evaluation Test Institute, fuel consumption measurement institute and State Environmental-friendly Products Assessment and Emission Testing Body. After years of construction, the TATC has become a leader in the automotive products accreditation and inspection field.
